Human Body System And Medical Sciences

Medical studies or medical research pertains to the human body system and medical sciences. The human body system and medical sciences is a complex region of research work. The human body system and medical sciences can be said to involve intensive research work on the intricate of the human body. The human body can be labeled as one of the most complex mechanisms. To put things extremely simply, the human body is made up of a framework of bones, or the skeleton. The skeleton system is covered by muscles, tendons fat tissues, which hold the organs in place. The muscles are covered by a protective layer of skin, and hair.

The network of nerves, the network of glands, and many such systems make up the complex structure of the human body. The list is quite endless. The network of veins and arteries circulates blood through the whole human body. Each aspect, the skeleton system, the circulatory system, is complex, and to this day new discoveries are being made. The mystery of the human body system has not been completely unlocked, yet.

Also, as per the Malthusian Law (in a very simplified form) when population grows unchecked then nature finds its own way of containing the population of that particular life form. This way of population control the 'natural' way may be in the form of epidemics, or new forms of viruses or bacteria. For example, in modern times we have diseases like AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) that are taking on epidemic proportions. (The first of December, has been marked out as World AIDS Day, all over the world.)

It is because of reasons like these, that the relation of the human body system and medical sciences is a vital area of interest for medical researchers all over the world. Various medical institutions like medical colleges and hospitals devote a lot of their human and monetary resource to medical sciences. The subjects for these medical sciences are usually volunteers. These may be patients who are suffering from certain incurable diseases, or patients who are willing to take risks.

It is because of these medical studies that drugs like Sparfloxacin (one of the latest anti biotics) or even, Viagra could get released in the market. It is only after extensive clinical trials, and publication of the results of these clinical trials in reputed medical journals, and finally, approval by major watch dog authorities like the United States, Food And Drug Administration that a new drug may be released in the market.

It is a long, and complicated process. Had it not been so, then the world would have seen more accidents like 'Thalidomide babies.' Thalidomide, the so called wonder drug was meant to relieve would be mothers of the symptoms of 'morning sickness,' resulted in causing damage to the foetus.

The human body system and medical sciences, is an area that has the potential to change human life for the better. Medical studies relating to the human body system can bring about the cure of terminal diseases like cancer, and AIDS. The hunt for a 'wonder drug' is on, but so far a full proof cure has not been found for either of these diseases. Early detection, and stalling are the only ways, life can be prolonged for people suffering from these diseases. Researches in medical sciences are an ongoing process for a better understanding of the human body system.
